CapabilityInterpretation

Web Audio / offline renderingFeature-detected at runtime; audio tools disable cleanly if absent.

Microphone / processing constraintsPermission and actual track settings are checked only after user action.

AudioWorkletUsed when available; analyser fallback stays visibly limited.

Output selection / latency fieldsOptional browser APIs; absence is not treated as a failure.

Desktop and mobile browsersAutomated browser coverage is not a hardware certification; real-device validation remains versioned release work.

Actual settings

Requesting echo cancellation, noise suppression, automatic gain control or a sample rate does not guarantee that the browser applied it. Reported track settings are checked after access is granted.

Unsupported behavior

Unsupported measurements are disabled or labelled limited. WaveLocus does not fabricate missing numbers.
